The Soul of the SubjectMy work is a continuous exploration of light and the hidden stories it reveals. Whether I am painting a quiet arrangement in the studio or the expansive energy of a city street, my focus remains on the "breath" of the subject. I draw from a deep foundation in Chiaroscuro, using the interplay of light and shadow to give my paintings a sense of weight, history, and atmosphere.​Still Life: The Beauty of the QuietIn my still life paintings, I honor the classical tradition. I am fascinated by how a single source of light can transform simple objects into a dramatic narrative. These works are an exercise in presence and patience, capturing the textures and silent dignity of the world around us.​Landscapes & Facades: The Pulse of TimeMy curiosity extends beyond the studio into landscapes and cityscapes, where I work in an impressionistic and expressionistic style. I am particularly drawn to the character found in old windows, weathered doors, and aging facades—the "faces" of our buildings that have watched the world change. I find a similar structural poetry in mountains and trees, capturing the rugged architecture of nature with bold color and movement.​A Mastery of MediumsTo capture these diverse subjects, I utilize a wide range of tools, including oil, acrylic, pastel, and gouache. Each medium offers a different language: the richness of oil for dramatic shadows, the immediacy of pastel for the flicker of light on a tree, or the fluid layering of gouache for a historic facade. For me, the medium is the bridge between what I see and what I feel.
